Shirts
Each Tarrit fabric is chosen for how it feels, how it wears, and how it ages. Care is not about perfection. It is about longevity.
100% GIZA COTTON
Giza cotton is fine, strong, and naturally soft. It rewards gentle handling.
Washing
Wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle. Use a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking.
Drying
Air dry whenever possible. Lay flat or hang on a wide hanger. Avoid direct sunlight.
Ironing
Iron while slightly damp, using medium heat. Steaming works exceptionally well for regular upkeep.
What to avoid
Bleach, fabric softeners, and high heat. These break down fine fibres over time.
100% TENCEL
Tencel is smooth, breathable, and fluid. It is strong but sensitive to friction.
Washing
Cold wash only. Gentle cycle. Always wash inside out and with similar fabrics.
Drying
Air dry flat or on a hanger. Do not wring.
Ironing
Low heat only. Steaming is preferred to preserve drape.
What to avoid
Rough washes, heavy loads, and tumble drying.
100% HEMP
Hemp is naturally durable and improves with wear. It is meant to feel lived-in.
Washing
Cold or cool wash. Gentle to normal cycle depending on fabric weight.
Drying
Air dry for best results. Expect slight stiffness initially that softens over time.
Ironing
Iron with steam while slightly damp for a cleaner finish.
What to expect
Natural creasing is part of hemp's character. It is not meant to look overly pressed.
100% LINEN
Linen is breathable, expressive, and intentionally relaxed.
Washing
Cold wash, gentle cycle. Wash separately or with similar colours.
Drying
Air dry only. Remove while slightly damp to reduce hard creases.
Ironing
Iron while damp using steam. Accept that linen will crease naturally through wear.
What to avoid
Overwashing and tumble drying. These make linen brittle over time.
