The paisley jacquard requires a complex loom setup to track the organic curves of the boteh motif across the weave repeat — far more technically demanding than geometric patterns, which follow straight lines and right angles. The motif is formed by alternating between satin and plain weave within each paisley shape, creating a three-dimensional surface where the pattern appears to lift from the ground. In deep navy Giza cotton, the extra-long staple produces a surface smooth enough for the satin sections of the jacquard to achieve genuine tonal contrast against the plain ground — the paisley visible and precise, the navy rich and consistent.

DEEP NAVY PAISLEY
THE PATTERN OF CIVILISATIONS IN CONVERSATION

The boteh — the teardrop shape at the heart of the paisley — originated in the Zoroastrian fire temples of Persia before moving through Mughal India, where it became the defining pattern of the finest Kashmir shawls. In South India, the paisley motif appears in temple bronze, in silk weaving, in the embroidery of ceremonial garments across every major tradition. It is not a borrowed pattern here — it grew independently from the same symbolic root: the teardrop as the shape of abundance, of the mango, of the flame. To wear it is to wear a pattern that South Asia has claimed as its own.

In the Western fashion tradition, the paisley was introduced to Europe through the Kashmir shawl trade in the 19th century and became so popular that the Scottish town of Paisley gave the pattern its English name. It entered menswear most permanently through the 1960s, worn by the men who were rewriting cultural rules — the musicians, the intellectuals, the tastemakers. In deep navy jacquard it becomes something more formal, more permanent, more of its own era.

We include a pre-paid return label in all our shipments to make it easy for you. Generate a request, specify a convenient pick-up date, and we will manage the rest.

Eligibility for Return

If you find any problems with your Tarrit article or are unsatisfied for any reason, you can return or exchange the article up to 15 days from the date of purchase.

We will only accept articles that are returned in their original packaging, unused, unwashed, undamaged, and with all tags still attached. Otherwise, we may not accept the return and send it back to the customer.

Money Back

For all accepted returns, we will refund your money within 7–10 working days, or exchange for another available size or product, as you prefer.

Refunds are applicable only for the purchased article, not for any packaging, gifts, or free items included by us.

Process

The easiest way to return or exchange is to generate a request from our website. Signed-in customers can go to "My Orders" under the "My Account" menu. Guest customers can visit the Track Your Order page and enter their Order ID and registered email address.

Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once they are collected by our delivery partners. In such cases, cancellation is possible only after delivery is received.

For all accepted cancellations, we will refund your money within 7–10 working days, offer store credits, or exchange for another available size or product, as you prefer.

Damages

Please inform our customer care department if any article is delivered without tags. Do not accept delivery if the packaging is not properly sealed or appears damaged.
